i'm tevin keobouala, a fashion and textile management student at NC State University, concentrating in product management and fashion development. My background started in computer science at UNC Charlotte before I shifted fully into apparel. The connection between the two is simple: a obsession with the mechanics of design, systemic construction, and understanding how a product moves from a concept to a tangible object.
My work balances technical execution with cultural context. On the development side, I draft technical packages, build patterns from scratch, cut and sew samples, and work directly with industrial equipment. On the creative and critical side, I write about music, archive fashion, and design subcultures for publications like Punch Buggy, Platform Magazine, and Reframe Magazine.
I look at garments through both a technical lens and a cultural one. Post-graduation, I am looking to bring this dual perspective to product development and design operations roles at companies where technical precision and cultural relevance intersect.
